Odds for 2018-19 NBA Season – Playoffs
There are two options for NBA Playoffs futures betting, and to win, you’ll need to pick the two teams in the NBA Finals, one from both the Eastern and Western Conferences.

Team | Odds | |
---|---|---|

![]() | Philadelphia 76ers | +285 |
![]() | Toronto Raptors | +195 |
![]() | Washington Wizards | +15000 |
2017-18 Eastern Conference Winner: Cleveland Cavaliers
One thing is for certain: The Cavaliers won’t win the Eastern Conference this season, and you can take that to the bank. LeBron James chose to leave town again, so don’t be surprised if the Cavs fail to make the playoffs like the last time he left.
The Celtics come in as the favorites and both Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving are said to be 100% healthy. If they are then it’s honestly hard to see any other East team making the finals.
Odds to Win the Western Conference
Team | Odds | |
---|---|---|

2017-18 Western Conference Winner: Golden State Warriors
The predicting the winner of the West is a little trickier. The Warriors are the defending NBA Champions and are the heavy favorites, boasting a starting five with five All-Star players now with the addition of DeMarcus Cousins in the offseason.
However, the Warriors will face tough competition from both the Rockets and the Lakers. Carmelo Anthony joined the Rockets, who finished with the best regular last season, and LeBron joined the Lakers in the offseason, immediately making them one of the favorites. Regardless, expect the west to be a three-way race all the way to the conference finals.
Results for the 2017-2018 NBA Season
Here are the results of each NBA team from last season to help you when picking which teams will and will not make the playoffs along with how many games they won to assist with over/under bets on futures. Keep in mind the acquisition or loss of players in the offseason, like LeBron joining the Lakers, is the likely reason for big jumps or declines between last season’s results and the predicted results for this season.
Example: The Lakers didn’t make the playoffs and finished with a 35-47 record but acquired LeBron James in the offseason. Now sportsbooks are setting the over/under line at 48.5 wins for the Lakers with a very high chance of making the playoffs.

Odds for the 2018-19 NBA Season – Divisions
To win a futures bet on any of the six NBA divisions, the team you bet on must have the best overall record in the division.
Eastern Conference
Odds to Win the Atlantic Division
Team | Odds | |
---|---|---|
![]() | Boston Celtics | +400 |
![]() | Brooklyn Nets | +25000 |
![]() | New York Knicks | +500000 |
![]() | Philadelphia 76ers | +450 |
![]() | Toronto Raptors | -260 |
2017-2018 Atlantic Division Winner: Toronto Raptors
The Celtics are the division favorites this season due to a couple of factors. Both Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward will be 100% healthy entering the season, meaning they’ll likely improve on their second-place finish last season. In addition, the Raptors traded for Kawhi Leonard in the offseason but questions surrounding his commitment to his new team after the debacle with the Spurs make betting on the Raptors an uneasy one.
Odds to Win the Central Division
Team | Odds | |
---|---|---|
![]() | Chicago Bulls | +100000 |
![]() | Cleveland Cavaliers | +100000 |
![]() | Detroit Pistons | +1500 |
![]() | Indiana Pacers | +315 |
![]() | Milwaukee Bucks | -420 |
2017-2018 Central Division Winner: Cleveland Cavaliers
After losing LeBron to the Lakers in the offseason, the Cavs are picked to finish dead last in the division to no one’s surprise and likely giving fans déjà vu from the last time LeBron left. The Bucks and Pacers are now the neck-and-neck favorites to win this division. Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the league’s best players and an MVP candidate, which is likely why the Bucks have the slight edge.
Odds to Win the Southeast Division
Team | Odds | |
---|---|---|
![]() | Atlanta Hawks | +10000 |
![]() | Charlotte Hornets | +150 |
![]() | Miami Heat | +180 |
![]() | Orlando Magic | +380 |
![]() | Washington Wizards | +600 |
2017-2018 Southeast Division Winner: Miami Heat
The Wizards are the favorites to win this division and on paper it makes sense due to adding Dwight Howard at center in the offseason. However, Howard is a locker room problem and has now played with four teams the past four seasons. Proceed with caution on this division, and you may want to bet on the Heat, so you unironically don’t get burned.
Western Conference
Odds to Win the Northwest Division

2017-2018 Northwest Division Winner: Portland Trail Blazers
Odds to Win the Pacific Division

![]() | Golden State Warriors | -6000 |
![]() | Los Angeles Clippers | +2100 |
![]() | Los Angeles Lakers | +1600 |
![]() | Phoenix Suns | +100000 |
![]() | Sacramento Kings | +45000 |
2017-2018 Pacific Division Winner: Golden State Warriors
The Warriors come into this season as the favorites to win pretty much everything, so it’s no surprise to see them as the favorite to win their own division. However, while the Lakers are likely to make this division much tougher to win for the Warriors, it wouldn’t be wise to bet against them repeating.
Odds to Win the Southwest Division
Team | Odds | |
---|---|---|
![]() | Dallas Mavericks | +1250 |
![]() | Houston Rockets | -240 |
![]() | Memphis Grizzlies | +950 |
![]() | New Orleans Pelicans | +850 |
![]() | San Antonio Spurs | +620 |
2017-2018 Southwest Division Winner: Houston Rockets
The Rockets had the best overall record in the NBA last season and added Carmelo in the offseason, but don’t expect him to find the fountain of youth. However, he will only compliment the Rockets already loaded roster. Expect this division to easily won, barring an injury to James Harden or Chris Paul.
Odds for the 2018-19 NBA Season – Player Awards
To win a futures bet on either the NBA Most Valuable Player or Rookie of the Year award, the wager must be on the winner of the MVP or ROTY award given to a player at the end of the season and is voted on by a panel of United States and Canadian sportswriters and broadcasters.
Preseason Odds to Win the 2018-19 NBA MVP Award
LeBron James +333 ![]() | Anthony Davis +400 ![]() | Giannis Antetokounmpo +500 ![]() |
James Hardin +550 | Kevin Durant +900 | Kawhi Leonard +1100 |
Russell Westbrook +1400 | Stephen Curry +1500 | Joel Embiid +1600 |
Kyrie Irvin +1600 | Ben Simmons +2800 | Damien Lillard +3500 |
Anthony Karl Towns +5000 | John Wall +7500 | DeMar DeRozan +8000 |
2017-18 Most Valuable Player Award Winner: James Harden
Harden was a monster last season, leading the league with 30.4 points per game and had 8.8 assists per game, third best in the NBA. He is among the favorites, but this season LeBron has the best odds now that he has officially arrived in La La Land. The Lakers will need him to be the unstoppable force he is capable of being if they want to be competitive in the wild western conference, making him a likely choice for winning the award.
Preseason Odds to Win the 2018-19 NBA ROTY Award
Luka Doncic +375 ![]() | Deandre Ayton +350 ![]() | Collin Sexton +700 ![]() |
Kevin Knox +750 | Marvin Bagley +1000 | Jaren Jackson Jr. +1100 |

2017-18 Rookie of the Year Award Winner: Ben Simmons
After being drafted 3rd overall in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Hawks and being immediately traded to the Mavericks, the Slovenia native Luka Duncic is the favorite to be the best rookie this season. Many scouts even say the 19-year-old guard is the best player on the Mavericks already after only watching him scrimmage in practice, and sportsbooks have taken notice, giving the Slovenian the best odds of winning the Rookie of the Year award at the end of the season.
